6^th Grade Committees

Liaison – Suzanne Arnett is responsible for overseeing the 6^th grade activities.  She coordinates the fundraisers and special events with the teachers and gets the 6^th grade students and families involved. 

Bookkeeper – Suzanne Johnston is keeping track of each individual sixth grader’s fundraising efforts. 

After-School Snacks – Debbie Kramer will be purchasing and organizing our Friday snack sale. 

Publicity – (OPEN) will ensure that the Dunsmore community is aware of all 6th grade activities through Hilltop Echoes, the Weekly Bulletin   and the 6^th grade website.

Back-to-School Picnic – Ann Beglarian & Sheri Kilgore will organize the food sales at the back-to-school picnic on September 14th.  Many volunteers are needed for this event, so please sign up to work a shift.   

Holiday Wreath Sales- Terry Ferrias will order, distribute and track the wreath sales for each student

Pumpkin Sales - Terri Maestas and Debra Rohan will organize after school pumpkins sales before Halloween

T-shirts –  will work with the teachers to come up with a design for the 6^th grade T-shirt, place the order, and distribute them to the students.

Candy Bar Sales – Debbie Kramer and Lori Budwig will order, distribute and track the candy bars sales for each student.  This starts in January.

Pancake Breakfast – Bryant Arnett & David Gould will organize the event in March.  Every parent is encouraged to help in some way, as this is a big event.  Please sign up!  

Rummage Sale – Laura Miller  will organize the families who participate in the Rummage Sale that takes place alongside the Pancake Breakfast.

Promotion (June 17th, 2008 ) – (OPEN) will organize and coordinate this event with the help of a committee by working directly with teachers and school staff.  Also oversee the following subcommittees: 

Programs and Invitations – Maria Eng  will design, layout and print the program for the 6th grade promotion ceremony.

Caricatures – (OPEN) will make arrangements for the artist, schedule dates with teachers and display caricatures at promotion.

Memory Page – (OPEN)  Assemble a “Memory Page” for each individual student using photos from their elementary school years.  Pages to be presented during the promotional ceremony.

6^th Grade Picnic (June 18th, 2008) – (OPEN)   will coordinate the end-of-year picnic for 6th graders with the help of a committee.  Tasks include making arrangements for food, games, set-up and clean-up.
